Designer and proprietor, Jim White, debuted his new Atlas hybrid stereo amplifier. Well known for their outstanding line of and phono and line, preamps, the Atlas represents a new direction for the company. A 6SL7 tube in the gain stage couples to Bi-Polar drivers and Bi-Polar outputs. The design is fully differential and uses no global feedback. Power output is 200 watts per channel into 8 Ohms, 400 at 4 Ohms

The all new Aesthetix Atlas power amplifier, housed in their classic brushed aluminium fascia and satin black housing, packs quite a punch with the following features:

  • Hybrid amplifier: Bipolar output stage, bipolar driver stage, vacuum tube gain stage
  • Zero global feedback fully differential amplifier
  • Gain stage using one 6SL7 tube per channel
  • Stereo amplifier: 200 watts /channel into 8 ohms; 400 watts / channel into 4 ohms
  • Amplifier has a built in high-pass crossover. 6dB / octave, 16 settings from 40Hz to 200Hz in approx. 10Hz increments
  • Single-ended and balanced inputs
  • Direct input bypasses all crossovers and switching
  • Power supply uses two transformers and three chokes. The high current section uses a dedicated transformer and choke input power supply. The vacuum tube B+ power supply is choke input and discretely regulated
  • All aluminum chassis construction
  • Stainless steel cover for transformers prevents magnetic fields from interacting with sensitive audio circuits
  • Bus technology reduces power supply impedance between output devices
